Hi! I’m Şehrazat.

I’m an assistant professor of sociology at Bryn Mawr College.

My research examines power and social change, focusing on social mobilization during democratic backsliding and gatekeeping in fields of knowledge production.

As an educator, I equip students with a global perspective and tools to tackle entrenched social problems. I also combat the hidden curriculum through mentorship.
